Senjutsu: Battle for Japan, Big Box insert
from $84.11
This is an insert for Senjutsu Battle for Japan - Big Box KS edition (all-in). It is designed to fit the card sleeves that shipped with the all-in edition from the Kickstarter. It also allows for the cherry blossom tree and torii gate to remain fully assembled and undisturbed in the box so it will cut down and wear and tear.
This also sorts out the content by expansion with unique etchings, Kanji, Cherry blossom pedals etc. for a high-end presentation. I felt that the insert that shipped with the Big Box Edition did not have sufficient card organization storage, and the top tray especially needed to be cut in order to keep the edges of the sleeves from bending. This insert also keeps things organized by expansion so you can see at a glance everything you have for the game in an organized fashion.
If you have the base game box, this will fit into the box but will leave you with about 5cm of lid lift.
Quick snynopsis of layout. Bottom layer is all the card decks - see picture for arrangement.
The card decks are designed to be able to store each character by their signature deck. Yes - I am aware that the game is short 4 cards total to be able to do this - You don't need to, but what I personally did, was I took the reference cards in their sleeves - then made copies of the missing signature cards on simple printer paper, then cut it out neatly and slid into the reference card sleeve (like a sandwich). I personally cannot tell which is which - it looks and feels the same as a real card.
The “signature” ability slot on the card storage tray is for all the leftover signature cards that are not part of the official signature deck. Then ability slots 1-3 will be full and ability slot 4 is clear in case you have some card runover after modifying decks.
The corner of the bottom layer has 3 stacking boxes. I personally keep the downgraded bamboo and shrine along with the clear plastic standee bases in one. The downgraded focus tokens and other player components in another, then all the upgraded metal components in the third one.
Top layer (see picture) is the Cherry Blossom box, Core tray, and all the expansion trays.
The pink box is a coin pouch for the metal coin which does fit in a slot on the top layer.
When all is set correctly the top layer is flush and flat and has plenty of room for the boards, neoprene, scenario books and game manual. You will have no lid lift.
As of now - this insert is not vertical storage friendly.
If you choose the painted option, we will meticulously paint the lettering on this insert to match what you see in the pictures. If you choose the no paint option this will arrive all in one color.
While about 90% of our inserts are designed my myself, this is an exception and is designed by a wonderful designer ZPr13st from Printables.com, I have permission to sell prints of this and he does receive a portion of each sale.
